Since 2018, the Hiswa te Water, the largest in-water boat show in Northern Europe, has taken place in the Batavia Haven in Lelystad. After two well-attended editions (2018 and 2019) in this well-known, centrally located water sports town, the well-known corona measures were introduced. The physical 2020 and 2021 editions had to make way for online versions. In 2022, the Hiswa te Water was back and how. In an almost sold-out and sun-drenched Batavia Haven, it was delightful to be there. With more than 30,000 visitors in an excellent atmosphere, the third edition in Lelystad can be called a great success. The quayside and pontoons of the Batavia Haven buzzed with positive reports. The new location, the layout of the harbor, the decoration, the wide range of boats, the diversity of quay exhibitors, and of course the test drives, everything seemed to contribute to a positive atmosphere.
During the 2022 edition of the Hiswa te Water, a total of 340 new boats were displayed. The feeling on the pontoons was not only good, but optimistic sounds were also heard in terms of sales. Boats were sold on the first day of the fair, and many went home with a full agenda of follow-up appointments.
The 40th edition of the Hiswa te Water will take place in 2025 in, of course, Batavia Haven Lelystad. The harbor will be transformed into a paradise for every type of water sports enthusiast. As it looks now, around 375 boats are expected, and all stands on the quayside and in the large entrance tent will be manned. The Hiswa te Water will become an event like no other, where you can get informed and orientated about everything the nautical water sports have to offer.
